During your appointment, you will discuss your concerns and develop a plan with our staff. The area will be thoroughly cleaned prior to the treatment. At your request, we can call in a topical numbing solution to a local compounding pharmacy or use ice to assist with comfort prior to injection. Results can be seen immediately and full correction within a week. After injection, there is a often visible redness and mild swelling at the injection sites that maybe accompanied with bruising. This can be minimized with makeup coverage.

Patients should expect to see immediate results following their treatment. Juvéderm contains the anesthetic lidocaine, so patients should not experience discomfort, although there may be some redness at or around the injection sites after the treatment has been completed. The aesthetician may gently rub the areas of the face to help the filler spread evenly and smoothly. Treatment is expected to last up to a year and many patients return after that time frame.
