Meet the Doctor
Born Into Medicine
Board-certified in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. K. Glen Walton is the senior physician at Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery. He brings a depth of experience that is rare outside major academic centers, along with a warmth and humor that puts even the most anxious patients at ease.
Dr. Walton was born into medicine — literally, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where his father was a surgical resident. His father went on to run the kidney transplant program at the University of Kentucky before spending nearly two decades as chief of urology at Emory.
His mother was also a nurse, so Dr. Walton and his brothers grew up surrounded by the language and rhythm of medicine. One became a urologist, like his father, while another runs a medical company in San Diego. Dr. Walton’s own strengths fit best with plastic surgery.
The path there was long, deliberate and grounded in serious surgical training.
