Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery

Procedures

Your goals are personal, and your care should reflect that. At Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery, we approach every surgical plan with a whole-person perspective, taking into account not just what you’d like to change, but how you want to feel afterward. The result is a thoughtful, measured approach that prioritizes natural-looking outcomes and long-term confidence.

01

Body Procedures

Whether your goals are rooted in personal milestones, health changes or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, our body procedures are tailored to your unique needs.

02

Breast Procedures

Breast surgery at NEGPS makes it possible to restore lost volume after pregnancy or aging, sculpt and lift sagging breasts, or just enhance your natural contours.

03

Facial Procedures

Facial surgery calls for a nuanced hand. Our surgeons approach facial procedures with an understanding that subtle changes often deliver the most lasting satisfaction.

04

Reconstructive Procedures

Reconstructive surgery is not an afterthought here. It’s central to who we are. Our board-certified surgeons have decades of experience in reconstructive cases.

Why Patients Choose

Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery

Northeast Georgia Plastic Surgery has served men and women throughout Braselton, Gainesville, and the surrounding communities for decades. Our reputation for consistent, trusted care has been built through the relationships we form with patients, a thoughtful decision-making process and an emphasis on natural-looking results.

Board-Certified & Peer-Recognized Surgeons

Every surgeon at NEGPS is board-certified, which means completing years of specialized training and passing rigorous oral and written exams. It’s one of the more demanding certification processes in medicine, and it’s the standard patients should ask for when trusting any provider with their transformation.

Beyond board certification, our surgeons have been recognized by Atlanta Magazine and featured on the Castle Connolly Top Doctors list. These distinctions are merit-based and peer-nominated, highlighting a consistent level of care that meets the expectations of both patients and fellow physicians.

Evidence-Based, Not Trend-driven

New devices and surgical techniques pop up every year. At NEGPS, our surgeons evaluate them the same way they approach everything else: by looking at the data. Peer-reviewed studies from publications like the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal guide clinical decision-making here, so we stand behind every treatment and procedure we offer.

Natural Results by Design

At NEGPS, we know that most patients aren’t looking for a dramatic change. They just want to look and feel more like themselves again. That goal shapes every recommendation we make, whether you’re looking to improve your body contours, restore your confidence or regain your sense of self after cancer treatment. Every procedure is planned around your features, your proportions and what feels right for you, not a one-size-fits-all aesthetic.

Accredited Surgical Facility

Our Gainesville office is a licensed, Quad A-accredited surgical facility that meets standards exceeding state and federal requirements. Our suite is fully equipped and staffed by board-certified anesthesiologists, with a dedicated recovery area where you will be monitored by a registered nurse before heading home after surgery. Every detail has been carefully planned, so you feel safe and supported at every stage of your procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

How do I know if I’m a good candidate for surgery?

The best way to determine candidacy is through a consultation with one of our surgeons. In general, good surgical candidates are in stable overall health, do not smoke (or are prepared to stop well in advance of a procedure), have realistic expectations and are making the decision for themselves. Certain factors, including nicotine use, can affect healing and surgical outcomes. Your surgeon will review your health history and lifestyle during your consultation and discuss any factors that could affect your safety or results.

What’s the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery?

Cosmetic surgery focuses on enhancing appearance, while reconstructive surgery addresses form and function that have been affected by injury, disease, congenital differences or other medical conditions. Practically speaking, many procedures exist somewhere between the two. A breast reconstruction after mastectomy is reconstructive, but the goal is also cosmetic: to restore a natural appearance. Similarly, a tummy tuck after pregnancy or weight loss addresses both functional and aesthetic concerns.

Is it safe to combine multiple procedures?

In most cases, yes, but it depends on your goals, the procedures being combined, and your overall health. Some procedures, like breast augmentation and a tummy tuck, are often paired together as part of a comprehensive mommy makeover plan, while others are best performed on their own due to safety considerations or recovery constraints.

If you’re planning more than one procedure, a combination approach is worth discussing with your surgeon. They will assess your goals and weigh the benefits of a single surgery against anesthesia risks, more time spent in the OR and your body’s ability to heal.

How long is the recovery after plastic surgery?

Recovery timelines vary considerably depending on the procedure. Less intensive options like eyelid surgery may involve a recovery of one to two weeks before returning to normal activities, while more extensive procedures (such as a full abdominoplasty) may require four to six weeks before resuming most activities, with continued healing over several months. During your consultation, your surgeon will give you a specific timeline based on your procedure.

Do you offer financing options?

Yes! To make your transformation more manageable, we offer financing through CareCredit and Prosper Healthcare Lending, giving qualified patients access to flexible monthly payments. If you have questions, our team is happy to guide you through the application process.

What Our Clients Say About Us

“Treated me like family through the whole process”

Amazing physician and staff. Dr. Schaheen took extra time to explain everything to me and allowed me to ask questions, ensured I had no complications after surgery, and treated me like family through the whole process.

- Paul W.

“Professional, knowledgeable, and communicative”

Professional, knowledgeable, and communicative. I’ve only seen her once but she analyzed my hand, recommended a course of action, followed through, and it all worked fine. I can’t say enough about how much I’m impressed. Need a recommendation? Choose her.

“Dr. Schaheen explains everything top to bottom”

I cut my pinky flexor tendon mid-July, and had a different doctor operate. When I hadn’t seen the greatest results, I went to Dr. Schaheen and she scheduled me for surgery immediately with full communication on what needed to be improved. My surgery was early October, and the scar is already almost non-existent! She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and a joy to talk to. She has the sweetest, most nurturing personality. Dr. Schaheen explains everything top to bottom. The only negative thing about her is that I can’t rate above five stars. Dr. Schaheen, you are a JOY!!!!!

- Miranda P.

“She really cares about her patients”

I had surgery for dupuytren’s contracture and trigger finger. Two successful surgeries. Dr. Schaheen is a very good Dr. and a wonderful person, her staff is very competent and are there to help you. She really cares about her patients.

- Tim M.

“He was very open and honest”

“Highly recommended Dr. Abell. I was very nervous about getting some work done but Dr. Abell made me feel very comfortable and he also takes a very conservative approach. He was very open and honest, so I knew what to expect. I was very pleased with the results and highly recommend him. He is awesome!”

- Vikki F.

“My hand was fixed right up!”

“Dr. Emily performed surgery on my hand after breaking it with a spiral fracture. I received plates and pins. Her bedside manner, professional, and knowledge were amazing! My hand was fixed right up! I have zero pain and full movement in my hand and fingers. And as a bonus, the scar from surgery is not even noticeable 🙂 I would recommend Dr. Emily time and time again!”

- Martha B.

“Dr. Walton was absolutely wonderful!”

“We trusted Dr. Walton with our 4 year old who needed repairs on his little finger after a bad cut. We were very nervous to say the least! But Dr. Walton was absolutely wonderful! We still have a few more weeks of physical therapy but it looks like this very difficult surgery was completely successful! Not only is Dr. Walton a joy but the entire office staff and nurses! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!”

- Lori P.

“I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Davoodi”

“My overall experience with this office has been great. All of the nurses as well as the front office staff are kind, patient and willing to answer any questions. Dr. Davoodi is a great doctor. He made me feel comfortable about the procedure and walked me through step by step. He personally called me after surgery to follow up which I greatly appreciated. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Davoodi, and I am very pleased with the results from my surgery!”
