Dr. D.J. Campbell

Dr. Campbell performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, body, breast and skin, and he is currently accepting new patients across all of these areas. His caseload includes body contouring after weight loss, liposuction, breast revision surgery and rhinoplasty, along with reconstructive procedures that follow cancer treatment, trauma or congenital conditions.

He keeps a close watch on developments in his field and incorporates new techniques when they offer a clear advantage for patients. The goal is never novelty for its own sake. It’s using the right tool for the right patient, with the experience to know the difference.

Before medicine, Dr. Campbell was a quarterback. He earned a football scholarship to Appalachian State University, served as team captain and was recognized as an Academic All-American First Team NCAA/GTE Disney selection during his college career. The work ethic from those years carried into his medical training, where he graduated cum laude with his biology degree before heading to Mercer for medical school.

His training continued at the University of Tennessee for a six-year general surgery residency, where he served as chief resident. From there, he completed a two-year fellowship in plastic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, one of the most respected programs in the country.

A Georgia native, Dr. Campbell grew up in nearby Cleveland, where he was known as both a scholar and an athlete. Dr. Campbell’s passion for his career is matched only by his love for his family, including his wife, Jennifer, his son, Blevin, and his daughters, Hannah and Pia. In his spare time, Dr. Campbell enjoys playing golf, watching football, reading non-fiction, and learning about both history and current events.
