Restylane®

Restylane dermal fillers are suitable for any person older than 21 years old who would like to refresh their overall appearance. Since it has several formulas, your treatment plan will be personalized to meet your needs and goals. Restylane may help you address initial signs of age, such as fine facial lines, or increase the fullness in your cheeks and lips. It may also improve severe wrinkles, such as frown lines, laugh lines, Crow’s feet, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and more. Certain treatments contain the anesthetic lidocaine, so would need to share any allergies at your pre-treatment consultation in order to prevent a negative reaction.

Restylane treatments are performed in the office at the Aesthetic Center of Gainesville. The treatment plan will be discussed and decided upon based on each patient’s unique concerns and cosmetic goals. The filler is injected into your skin with a fine needle or cannula, The area is then cleaned and the results are revealed.

Once your Restylane treatment is finished, you may resume normal activities. Your recovery period will vary based on what you are having treated, so ask your injector about what you should expect. The treated areas may be slightly swollen and red, but this typically fades away within a day. Bruising may occur, but this may be camouflaged with cosmetics. It’s suggested that you avoid strenuous activity for a day, and you should sleep with the head propped up for at least one night. Many patients will see visible changes right after the procedure, but it usually takes 1 – 2 weeks until the final results develop. Restylane treatments typically last around one year based on the formula selected.
