MOXI can be customized based on your skin goals, the areas you want to treat, and how much downtime you are comfortable with. Treatment intensity can be adjusted from a lighter, more maintenance-focused session to a deeper pass for more significant concerns.

Some of the concerns commonly treated with MOXI include:

• Uneven skin tone. MOXI helps fade patches of discoloration and creates a more consistent, balanced complexion.
• Sun damage and brown spots. Years of sun exposure can leave behind pigmentation that MOXI works to gradually lift and reduce.
• Fine lines and early signs of aging. By boosting collagen production, MOXI softens fine lines and helps keep skin looking firm and fresh.
• Rough or dull texture. The treatment encourages cell turnover, revealing smoother, more radiant skin in the weeks that follow.
• Enlarged pores. As skin tone and texture improve, pores can appear refined and less visible.
• Preventive skin maintenance. MOXI is especially popular for prejuvenation, addressing early skin changes before they become more pronounced.

MOXI is one of the most broadly accessible laser treatments available because it is designed for all skin types, including darker skin tones that may not be ideal candidates for some other laser platforms. You may be a great fit for MOXI if you:

• Are noticing early signs of aging or sun damage. MOXI is especially well-suited for patients in their late 20s through 50s who want to stay ahead of changes before they deepen.
• Want visible results with minimal downtime. If a week or less of mild peeling and redness fits your schedule, MOXI offers a realistic, manageable recovery.
• Have not responded well to topical treatments alone. If creams and serums have taken you only so far, MOXI can help move the needle.
• Are looking for a maintenance treatment. Many patients incorporate MOXI into their annual or biannual skincare routine to keep their results looking fresh.
• Are not pregnant or nursing. MOXI is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please let your provider know if this applies to you.

• Avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before your appointment. Tanned or sunburned skin increases the risk of uneven results. If you will be outdoors, wear SPF 30 or higher every day.
• Pause certain skincare ingredients. Stop using retinoids, retinol, and exfoliating acids (AHAs, BHAs) for five to seven days before your treatment to avoid increased sensitivity.
• Come with clean skin. Arrive with no makeup, lotions, or sunscreen on the treatment area. Your provider will cleanse your skin before beginning.
• Stay well hydrated. Well-hydrated skin responds better to laser treatments, so drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
• Let us know about your medications. Certain medications, including photosensitizing drugs and blood thinners, may affect your treatment plan. Share your full medication list during your consultation.
• Arrange for a comfortable ride home if needed. Most patients drive themselves without issue, but if you are sensitive to light or heat after treatments, having someone with you can be helpful.

When you arrive for your MOXI treatment, your provider will cleanse the skin and apply a topical numbing cream to keep you comfortable. The numbing usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes to take full effect before your session begins.

Once your skin is ready, your provider will move the MOXI handpiece steadily across the treatment area. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild heat or light snapping feeling.

The treatment itself typically takes 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
Immediately after, your skin will look pink and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. Your provider will apply a soothing product and sunscreen before you leave. You will be given a detailed aftercare plan to follow at home in the days that follow.

• Keep your skin moisturized. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer several times a day during the first week. Your provider will recommend products that are safe for your healing skin.
• Use sunscreen every single day. Your skin will be more sensitive to UV exposure after treatment. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every morning, and reapply if you will be outdoors.
• Avoid picking or peeling skin. You may notice small dark spots (called MESTs, or microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) in the days after treatment. These naturally shed on their own within three to five days. Let them come off naturally.
• Skip harsh skincare for one week. Hold off on retinoids, exfoliants, and active ingredients until your skin has fully settled. Gentle cleansing and moisturizing are all you need.
• Stay out of the sun and skip intense heat. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for at least five days after treatment, as heat can increase inflammation.
• Expect gradual improvement. Your skin will continue to improve over the following four to six weeks as collagen builds. For best results, your provider may recommend a series of treatments.
